Whirlpool wanted their brand presence to be different on Very compared to the way they were portrayed elsewhere online. This meant that a look had to be devised that didn't depend on the use of existing Whirlpool imagery.
Liaising with a Client Manager from the Very account team, mood boards and visual experimentations (to show Whirlpool how their appliances would look if featured in various vector-style home illustrations) were devised. This approach, using flat colour sections, line graphics that projected away from the main image and appliance photos inserted into the vector drawings, provided a striking point of difference to the way Whirlpool appliances were shown on their own site.

Whirlpool were happy with this design approach and the 'Re-imagining your home' brandstore went live. It featured cool, distinctive graphics that were designed to 'break' from the brandstore and flow onto the website skins. Multiple info-panels, diagonally-cropped photos and various videos added to the impact.
