LEGACY OF THE DRAGON
Design and layout for the 100-page booklet ‘Legacy of the Dragon’, which was a main asset enclosed within the Severin Films Blu-ray box set ‘The Game of Clones’.
The box set contained 14 films and a documentary celebrating the martial arts movie sub-genre known as Bruceploitation. The decision was made to use primary colours throughout the booklet, as a homage to 70s publications like ‘Kung Fu Monthly’. This was also the reason I chose colours for drop shadows that sometimes purposefully clashed with the colour of the booklet’s subheadings. These design decisions, plus the inclusion of impactful film stills, newspaper ads and posters, ensured that the booklet looked very eye-catching and captured the vibe of the Bruceploitation sub-genre itself.
